Summary of Job Duties:Provides project coordination and administrative support to the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute for successful completion of Cancer Institute projects and ongoing operations. Coordinates between the various Cancer Institute groups to ensure smooth communication for the timely completion of assigned tasks. Develops and maintains documents and reports related to Cancer Institute operations. The duties of the Project Coordinator directly contribute to the NCI designation efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS/Diploma, plus seven years of project coordination experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields, plus three years of project coordination experience.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills required. Skill requirements demand intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, charts, graphs, and other methods as required. Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, manage multiple programs at one time, and integrate changes smoothly. High level of accuracy in work is required. Must exhibit excellent ability to edit work for spelling and grammar. Good listening and comprehension skills essential. Ability to multi-task required. Excellent time management skills and ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships.

  • Works with Cancer Institute Director to coordinate various projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Consults and advises on projects and provides support as necessary.

  • Develops and designs reports and collects data from a variety of sources.

  • Organizes special events as required.

  • Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed.

  • Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary.

  • Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines.

  • Assists internal and external stakeholders as needed with exceptional customer service.

  • Other duties as assigned
