Position Overview: We are seeking an entrepreneurial and driven Transportation Manager to lead our growing transportation function through an exciting period of expansion. This high-impact role is ideal for a leader who thrives in dynamic environments and can bring structure and innovation to an evolving national logistics network. You will manage a team of transportation planners and a supervisor while working cross-functionally with warehouse operations, customer service, and the supply chain team. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our 3PL partner, ensuring excellence and cost efficiency. As our shipping network expands, including the introduction of cold chain logistics and additional partners, you will help set the strategic direction and ensure smooth execution. Responsibilities: * Lead and develop a transportation team. * Manage day-to-day shipping operations across truckload, LTL, and upcoming refrigerated freight. * Oversee relationships with 3PL carrier providers, including performance monitoring and service level adherence. * Support expansion to new shipping points and new partner locations. * Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve service levels, reduce freight costs, and implement best practices. * Utilize data to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement. * Ensure transportation compliance (DOT, HAZMAT, OSHA) and safety protocols. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field * 5+ years of hands-on transportation/logistics experience with progressive leadership responsibility * Proven ability to lead teams and projects in a fast-changing, multi-site network * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to act decisively * Experience with TMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 * In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices * Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills * Ability to lead with clarity in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environments * Experience with cold chain and refrigerated transportation preferred. * Experience integrating new ship points or 3PLs into logistics network preferred. Hours, Location and Pay: We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role works 8:00a to 5:00p Monday - Friday at our Neenah, WI Distribution Center. Off-shift hours may occasionally be needed to meet business needs.
