Summary:

The Supervisor of Room Service will supervise and control all room service functions and personnel. Ensures that service is prompt, professional and courteous, and that it adheres to the standards and timelines established by the department. Plans, develops, organizes and implements policies and procedures and quality improvement activities to ensure that customers receive high quality, attractive meals within established budgetary guidelines. Oversees the daily operating procedures of the Nutrition Associates and the Diet Office Associates to ensure that the customers food service expectations are met/surpassed at all times. Maintains the highest standards of professional performance for the benefit of the patients in accordance with the professional standards and ethics of Food and Nutrition Services. This role assists the Executive Chef/Food Service Manager and the Director in operating the department in a manner that contributes to the achievement of the department's strategic goals and objectives.

Education & Experience:

  • High School or Equivalent required.

  • Certified Food Service Manager or Associate Degree in Nutrition or Food Service or related field.

  • 5 to 8 Years Supervisory experience in institutional or healthcare setting.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Must have City of Fort Worth Food handlers Card prior to employment.

  • Card must be current at all times during employment.
