Student Worker

Position Description:

Purpose

Assist in routine administrative and data collection aspects of clinical research studies needed in accordance with specific instructions and established work methods. Support research investigators as needed.

Primary Functions

• Support data acquisition in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Manage neural (EEG + LFP + single neuron), video, audio, and behavioral task data
• Debug and improve existing MATLAB/Psychtoolbox task and analysis codes
• Troubleshoot EMU hardware and data acquisition
• Collaborate with team members regarding requirements, schedules, and activities
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities

Knowledge of engineering/computer science/data analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Strong problem solving and attentiveness to detail required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of computers, clerical procedures, customer service standards, and information management.
