GRAIN ELEVATOR SUPERINTENDENT Location: Milmine, IL Reports to: Regional Operations Manager Position Supervises: Elev. Operations Personnel and Part-Time Seasonal Help Type of Position: Full-time, Hourly Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Longer hours and weekends during grain harvest or as needed JOB SUMMARY This position entails the supervision of day to day activities of a designated grain elevator(s). This includes coordinating elevator operations staff and overseeing grain inventory and handling, grain quality and conditioning, elevator equipment, housekeeping, maintenance, rail loading preparations and activities, as well as the loading and unloading of grain trucks. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Related work experience is preferred. SKILLS & ABILITIES
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES Class D license required to drive any company pick-up truck. WORK ENVIRONMENT Most of the time is spent outside or in a grain elevator. Exposure to noise from machinery, alarms, and grain trucks. Exposure to a variety of weather situations when loading trucks/rail and constant exposure to grain dust. Frequent exposure to moving, mechanical parts in elevators and on grain trucks.
