KeyLogic LLC is seeking a Junior Database Administrator (Jr DBA) to play a key role in supporting the management, performance, and security of enterprise relational databases, with a focus on Oracle platforms. This entry-level position is designed for candidates with a foundational understanding of database administration and a strong willingness to grow in a collaborative IT environment.

On-site in Phoenix, AZ
Must be a US Citizen who can obtain a Public Trust
Salary: Up to 95K

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of relational database management systems (RDBMS), primarily Oracle.

  • Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

  • Assist in implementing and testing database backup and disaster recovery strategies to maintain data integrity and availability.

  • Apply security patches and contribute to maintaining database security compliance.

  • Develop and use basic scripts (e.g., SQL, PowerShell, Python) to automate routine administrative tasks.

  • Utilize tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager for day-to-day database management activities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, software developers, and other IT team members to support application and reporting needs.

  • Document technical issues, configurations, and solutions clearly and concisely.

  • Stay current with emerging database technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Foundational knowledge of relational database concepts, preferably with experience in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Understanding of core database administration principles, including indexing, performance tuning, and data recovery.

  • Basic scripting skills to support automation efforts.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing technical environments.

Other:

  • Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust.
  • This position may require the ability to operate a government vehicle. The incumbent must be at least 18 years of age, able to obtain and maintain Defensive Drivers certification and have a valid state driver's license.

    Bend, stretch, squat, kneel, to move equipment, set up workstations (projectors, TV screens, computers, servers, routers, printers, tools, etc.).
