Data Governance Analyst, Consultant

Your Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Data Governance Analyst (Consultant level) to join the Data Governance team with Blue Shield of California. The Data Governance Analyst (Consultant level) will be involved in establishing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data is accurate, consistent, accessible, secure, and used responsibly, while complying with healthcare regulations. You will be responsible to ensure that data is trustworthy and can be used effectively in data pipeline and analytic needs.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience with data governance processes involving data quality, metadata management, data marketplace, reference data management and master data management
• Experience with Data Governance tooling as Collibra, Informatica, Allation or any other leading Industry tool
• Proficient in SQL and ability to understand data models
• Ability to communicate and articulate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
• Proven collaborator with strong interpersonal skills, works collaboratively within the team and outside the team
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills which bring clarity and precision at all levels within the organization
• Knowledgeable and working experience of Health Insurance (Plan) data domain business concepts and processes (highly preferred)
• Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud (DIC) tool (highly preferred)
• Experience with Collibra data quality (Previously OwlDQ) tool (highly preferred)
• AI data governance experience preferred
• Python experienced preferred
• Tableau Development experience preferred
