How You'll Make an Impact:

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Staff Engineer, DevSecOps to help us create, extend, and maintain our DevSecOps offering as we expand past our current offerings in services related to safety, security and convenience in order to take our business to the next level.

What You'll Do:

In this role you will be a key member of the DevSecOps team responsible for establishing highly available environments driven by Automation and DevOps strategy. You will also be called upon to utilize your influence, leadership skills and knowledge of Agile/DevOps mindset to deliver customer value. You will also partner with the engineering organization to drive conversion projects to cloud infrastructure.

  • Design, enable, and deliver scalable and automated strategy - Infrastructure-As-Code -- as part of CICD pipelines
  • Design and build new CI/CD pipelines that are fully executed with common workflows, automation and rollback on AWS Cloud services
  • Provide expertise in training and supporting fully automated CI/CD across multiple environments and regions

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years of experience in a Senior DevOps Engineer position
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technically related fieldEquivalent experience and/or degrees in other technical fields will be evaluated and considered
  • Strong technical knowledge building mission critical/highly available service-oriented software
  • Experience in using Atlassian JIRA defect tracking service
  • Experience with DevOps, ITIL, Cloud Services, IT Infrastructure and Operations, including environment standup, server builds, firewalls, security and compliance
  • Must have AWS cloud services and not limiting to:
    • Compute: EC2, Lambda, EBS, Serverless app, Load Balancer
    • Container: ECS with Docker
    • DB: RDS, Dynamo, ElastiCache, Aurora
    • Analytics: Athena, CloudSearch, Elasticsearch
    • Security etc.: IAM, WAF, Firewall Manager, Network Firewall, Security Group
    • Management: CloudWatch, Cloudformation, Auto Scaling, OpsWorks
  • Scripting Knowledge such as Python, Perl, Groovy, Java
  • Recent experience developing/supporting web app development or AWS micro services using node.js, React.js, Angular.js is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
  • Works well with others and is a skilled communicator both written and oral; acts with professionalism both in person and when working on the phone with partners
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work under shifting deadlines with potentially ambiguous or nebulous requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in an agile software development organization; Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Willingness to learn new technologies - often very quickly
  • Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
  • Creative writing ability
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-first mentality
  • Collaboration skill is a must have for this position
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
