SXM Media SiriusXM Media is home to award winning comedy podcasts and the Team Coco network, where it produces original content for talent such as Conan O'Brien, Seth Rogen, LeVar Burton, Bill Nye, Mel Robbins, and many more. We also provide ad sales and distribution services to 300+ shows such as Call Her Daddy, Smartless, Crime Junkie, Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations and many more. How you'll make an impact As a Producer, Podcasts, your role would involve leading ongoing production across one or more shows. You would model best production practices and help in developing and implementing strategies to drive the growth, quality, and success across your network's slate and of the organization's podcasting efforts overall. Content development and acquisition: work closely with your Executive Producer to contribute to the development and acquisition of podcast content. This includes identifying potential podcast concepts, and collaborating with content creators, hosts, and the wider production team to ensure high-quality, engaging, and diverse podcast offerings. Podcast production and distribution: would oversee the production and distribution processes for one or more podcasts. This includes offering structural, technical and audio expertise to continue improving your shows. Managing the creative process to anticipate problems before they occur, helping hosts and the rest of the production team do their best work. Delivering projects on budget and ensuring the timely release and distribution of episodes across various platforms and channels. Assisting at any point in the content chain in order to support talent and colleagues when needed. Talent management: would be responsible for managing podcast hosts and guest talent. This involves identifying and pitching talent to your executive producer, providing support and guidance to hosts, and fostering a positive and collaborative working relationship to enhance the quality and success of the podcasts. Monetization and revenue generation: would help develop and monitor strategies to monetize podcasts and generate revenue. This includes communicating effectively with the Ad Ops and Revenue Partnerships team to approve and deliver excellent ad reads, as well as helping to explore and realize sponsorships, branded content opportunities, and other revenue streams to maximize the financial potential of the organization's podcasting efforts. Audience growth and engagement: would collaborate in developing and implementing strategies to grow and engage the podcast audience. This involves working with our marketing team in promotion of podcasts through various channels, utilizing social media, email marketing, collaborations, and other means to expand the listener base and enhance engagement with the audience. Analytics and performance measurement: would work with your executive producer to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) measuring the success and impact of their podcasts. This involves being aware of podcast metrics, such as downloads, listens, engagement, and audience demographics, to evaluate performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Industry partnerships and collaborations: would maintain a strong awareness of the wider podcast landscape - podcasting networks, production companies, and industry stakeholders. This includes exploring opportunities for cross-promotion, talent exchanges, and other collaborations that can enhance the organization's podcasting reach and influence. Podcast network development: would work with your executive producer in the development and management of in-coming pitches, development and launches of new shows. This involves helping in identifying and acquiring podcasts that align with the organization's brand and target audience, providing support and resources to network podcasts, and fostering a collaborative environment among podcast hosts and teams. As a Producer, Podcasts, you'll bring a passion for podcasts, knowledge of the industry, and ability to identify and develop compelling content will be instrumental in shaping the organization's podcasting initiatives. Strategic thinking, leadership abilities, and collaborative approach will contribute to the success and growth of the organization's podcasting efforts, ensuring a strong presence in the dynamic and expanding podcasting industry. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the recording, editing and promotion of your own slate of weekly podcasts * Coordinate studio and remote sessions to ensure talent and their guests have a great experience recording with us * Provide support and creative input to ensure ongoing quality and originality * Work with our talent bookers to bring exciting, diverse, funny guests onto our podcasts - and then make sure they get paid * Review fan emails and voicemails for inclusion in the shows * Work with our ad sales and branded content teams to make sure ads are approved, recorded accurately and shared with sponsors in a timely manner * Record and edit episodes in partnership with our engineering team and the hosts * Source approved episode photos and create engaging promotional assets * Write show titles and episode descriptions * Write and produce promotional material in ways true to the hosts' voices and the shows' spirit * Coordinate the production and delivery of episode transcripts * Develop audience engagement tactics to foster community and bring new listeners to our network * Ongoing communication and advocacy on behalf of your shows across all parts of our company * Collaborate with the Stitcher Premium team to develop, sell and deliver original bonus content to run alongside Earwolf releases * Other duties as assigned What you'll bring * A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience * 2+ years' experience in podcast or radio production * Hands-on audio recording & editing skills (ProTools preferred) * A demonstrable passion for comedy * Strong attention to detail * Experience working collaboratively with creative talent * Strong project management and organizational skills * Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills * Resilience * Ability to multitask * Critical thinking * Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision * Strong attention to detail * Good hygiene * Experience in live event production and / or assistant work preferred At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $63,000 - $85,000 annually and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
