How you'll make an impact: The Senior Manager, Critical Systems is responsible for overseeing and managing a range of functions critical to maintaining and optimizing the SiriusXM property portfolio. This includes maintaining an accurate and up-to-date database of all company properties, managing space allocations, overseeing critical infrastructure maintenance, and coordinating various facilities-related projects. The position requires expertise in space planning, project management, and facility operations, with a focus on HVAC and cooling systems, infrastructure maintenance, and the efficient management of employee workspaces. What you'll do:
- Space Planning & Allocation:
- Maintain an accurate and comprehensive database of all SiriusXM properties, including employee work locations, and track occupied, bookable, and vacant workspaces using OfficeSpace software.
- Oversee space allocations for new hires, employee relocations, and departures. Forecast future space needs across the portfolio, aligning with business goals and employee requirements.
- Project Management:
- Manage various projects related to the built environment, including furniture procurement and installation, space modifications, critical infrastructure management, and coordination of new construction projects.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of space-related projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies for employee moves, relocations, and expansions to meet departmental and organizational needs.
- Critical Infrastructure & HVAC Systems:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of critical cooling systems, including Liebert air conditioning units, glycol loops, heat exchangers, dry coolers, rooftop units, and all components of air handling systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC and cooling systems, ensuring proper handling and disposal of CFCs, glycol, and other hazardous waste.
- Lead and manage contract resources, providing regular updates on maintenance and operational activities.
- Facilities & Security Systems Administration:
- Administer and manage facilities and security systems, including OfficeSpace (space planning), Andover, Johnson Controls, and other relevant platforms.
- Interface with the account manager for OfficeSpace software to maintain up-to-date inventories of employee assignments and space allocations.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate and analyze regular and ad-hoc reports from OfficeSpace to inform real estate and space-related decisions.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Security to ensure the accuracy of employee data and reports related to space and occupancy.
- Review and approve all project-related and systems invoices for payment.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee various third-party vendors and general contractors.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in interior design, architecture, construction management, facilities management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in move management, space planning, and strategic planning in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Proven experience in project management, vendor selection, and portfolio analysis.
- Strong background in critical systems management, particularly HVAC and cooling infrastructure.
- Design experience and proficiency with CAD or similar design software.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, and other design/space planning tools.
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Expertise in using space planning software (OfficeSpace or similar) and project management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial electrical, mechanical systems, and facility operations.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to generate reports and analyze data using Microsoft Excel, Access, and other relevant tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage shifting deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Advanced proficiency with OfficeSpace or similar space planning software.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Familiarity with Monday.com, Alteryx, Tableau, and similar platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of access control systems and CCTV surveillance systems.
- Understanding of various Building Management Systems (BMS) and CMMS.
- Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $95,600 to $148,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
