M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located in San Diego, CA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities



  • Analysis of needs, development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), integration testing of several software baselines, technical documentation including User Guides, sprint planning, customer engagement.
  • Interact closely with software and system test engineers on the team to achieve program objectives.
  • Perform analysis and tasks at concurrent stages to include technical planning, system design, software implementation, system integration, testing, verification, and validation.
  • Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades and patches.
  • Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, information technology, or relevant STEM discipline.
  • Understanding of User Interface design and development practices.
  • Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, etc.).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, etc.).
  • Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces, and geospatial data.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat.
  • Familiarity with VMWare and virtualization concepts.
  • Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting.
  • Demonstrated experience working on remote Systems via use of command line.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications



  • Master's degree in STEM related discipline.
  • Proficiency in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking.
  • Proficiency in analyzing customer needs and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis methods and tools.
  • Experience with system integration and test on a UNIX or Linux platform.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships).

$60,000 $180,000 USD
