As a member of the Sanitation Department, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our plant and grounds are clean and safe for everyone. You'll handle the day-to-day functions of the sanitation department, making sure that our facilities are checked and cleaned daily. You'll work with a team of dedicated professionals to consistently produce positive sanitation results that exceed our customers' expectations. Are you ready to join us in this exciting opportunity?

Responsibilities:

  Perform all necessary tasks to ensure equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for the next production run.

  Understand the operation and functionality of all sanitation cleaning equipment.

  
  
• 
  

  Ensure personal safety equipment is in good condition and used properly.

  
  
• 
  

  Stay up to date with all Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) updates related to cleaning solutions and sanitizers.

  
  
• 
  

  Communicate relevant cleaning process information with coworkers and supervisors.

  
  
• 
  

  Provide on-the-job training for new sanitation staff and assist with training activities that support manufacturing processes.

  
  
• 
  

  Understand the operation and functionality of all plant waste removal equipment.

  
  
• 
  

  Accurately document cleaning records for equipment and areas in compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

  
  
• 
  

  Operate sanitation equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and steam cleaners.

  
  
• 
  

  Conduct plant walk-throughs to visually inspect tanks, blowers, chemical feed systems, aeration tanks, digesters, equalization tanks, and clarifiers.

  
  
• 
  

  Conduct monthly maintenance of lab probes and equipment, ensuring proper documentation.

  
  
• 
  

  Report any issues to Can-Do and complete monthly meter readings.

  
  
• 
  

  Perform other duties as assigned.

  
  

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma /GED
• 
  

  Reading, writing and basic math skills required

  
  
• 
  

  2+ years of experience in manufacturing / light industrial

  
  
• 
  

  5+ years of experience in Sanitation / Janitorial

  
  
• 
  

  Genie lift certification is required

  
  
• Weekends and Holidays may be required.

Shift: 1st * 6am-2:30pm must work weekends*
