Rutgers School of Health Professions (
SHP) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst I to work in the Dean's Office - Office of Finance.
The Senior Financial Analyst I is responsible for conducting financial analysis, projects and statistical studies. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst I will also coordinate formulation, monitoring and presentation of departmental budgets, and control funds to implement program objectives of organization. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst I will be responsible for offsite initiatives, faculty practice, continuing education and unrestricted expense activity.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Prepares Unrestricted Faculty Practice and Continuing Education budgets based on organization's performance, estimated revenue, expense reports and historical budget numbers.
- Reviews budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs.
- Consults with Department Chairs to ensure adjustments are made in accordance with program changes in order to facilitate long-term planning.
- Reviews and approves expenditures of departments to ensure compliance with budget.
- Prepares routine and ad hoc budget reports to clarify budget directives and develop policies for their implementation.
- Conducts comparative analyses of operating programs to evaluate costs against services delivered in prior fiscal years, and submits reports with budget revision recommendations to the Finance Manager and Director of Finance.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in fiscal operations, including the maintenance and review of budgetary and financial records, and experience with computer-based accounting systems.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered in lieu of the stated educational requirements.
