Job Summary

The Learning Center Program Manager is responsible for the management and operation of the Learning Centers at CGCC's Pecos and Williams Campuses. The position supervises full-time staff and a team of part-time learning facilitators, and addresses development needs of all Learning Center employees. The role involves developing and implementing learning support programs, and implementing program improvements based on evaluation of outcomes.

Essential Functions

30 % - Program Management and Planning
Manages and coordinates the daily activities of the Learning Center ensuring delivery of quality tutoring services; organizes and prioritizes a dynamic workload to meet program objectives; guides full-time staff marketing and outreach for programs and student workshops; plans, develops, implements and administers a variety of comprehensive learning support services and programs with the objective of enhancing student academic success, retention, and completion rates; plans strategically to best meet student tutoring needs within budget;

30 % - Hiring, Development, and Supervision
Recruits, hires, supervises, trains, coaches, and evaluates full-time staff; Coordinates with Program Coordinators to manage part-time learning facilitators across all areas of the Learning Center; oversees hiring, onboarding, and evaluation of learning facilitators and tutors; in conjunction with Program Coordinators, develops and manages staff schedules; monitors and approves time reporting in HCM; implements discipline and termination procedures in accordance with staff policy.

25 % - Data and Budget
Establishes program metrics for the Learning Center based on learning support best practices, implements evaluation, reviews program objectives, assesses the outcomes, and implements program improvements; compiles data, analyzes data, and creates and shares reports to demonstrate efficacy of tutoring and to monitor costs; Prepares and customizes reports to support decision-making across administration, faculty liaisons, and academic divisions ; prepares and manages budgets; coordinates with Program Coordinators to allocate funds; develops and initiates requests to improve operational efficiency and/or for additional funds to better meet operational objectives

15 % - Collaboration and Communication
Collaborates with faculty liaisons to the Learning Center on planning, identifying potential tutors, training, assessment, and other tasks; collaborates with administrators and staff across different departments; serves as back up for Learning Center Program Coordinators; facilitates Learning Center staff meetings; represents the Learning Center on college leadership meetings and/or councils; meets, plans, and troubleshoots with the Dean of Arts and Sciences to ensure learning center goals are being met; performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, educational leadership or related field and five (5) full-time equivalent years of program administration or management experience, that includes two years of supervisory experience.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

1. Master's Degree in English, English Education, Rhetoric and Composition, or related areas, OR, Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Programming, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Physics or a related STEM field.
2. Experience working as a team lead in a comprehensive learning center in education
3. Experience implementing and overseeing a learning support program
4. Experience collaborating with faculty, administrators, and/or staff across departments
5. Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to improve program outcomes
6. Experience working with educational software and instructional technology programs (e.g., TutorTrac, Student InformationSystems, Canvas, etc.)

May be required to work at multiple sites or locations.
