Description
Auria is looking to hire a System Integration Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Space Force Base. The System Integration Engineer requires at least administrator-level knowledge but does not perform normal administrator job functions. Integrate C2BMC software into the C2BMC test suites at the MDIOC, primarily Virtual servers.
Essential Functions:
- Develop site and event-specific configurations to support System Test events
- Operate and troubleshoot C2BMC systems during test events and integration activities
- Work with external personnel to resolve test lab issues
- Work with C2BMC Operations and Sustainment and Level-II support personnel to resolve installation and processing issues
- Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files
- Perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data
- Troubleshoot both test and operational issues
- Document test results and prepare test status documentation
- Read test plan documents and procedures
- Create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues
- Assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues
- Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test C2BMC in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities
- Participate in the integration of C2BMC tests with external elements and sensors
- Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents as necessary
- Attend meetings with other C2BMC FAs, customers, etc.
Basic Qualifications: Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.
- Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience,
- or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience,
- or a PhD and 1 years of experience,
- or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required at the start
- The position is based in Colorado Springs at the MDIOC, but sometimes multi-week travel to customer sites (e.g., EUCOM, CENTCOM) and contractor sites (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83) may be required
- The ability to travel is a requirement
- Must have knowledge or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology
- Experience with operational systems like:
- Aegis
- Patriot
- Development systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis)
- Off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages
- Integrating system components within an integrated test environment
- Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment
- High proficiency with:
- Networking (Junos)
- VMware
- Virtual servers
- Linux, including shell scripting
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
- Working knowledge in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution
- The desire to conduct complex troubleshooting by analyzing proprietary application logs, firewall policies, and interface documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current and Active in-scope DoD-Issued Top Secret clearance is highly desired
- Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System, including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks, is a plus
- Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a plus
- Experience with Agile Methods and Capability and Feature definition is a plus
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($108,000 - $118,000).
