As a Security Professional - Chemical Facility in Peekskill, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the site, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a positive atmosphere by working collaboratively with your team, demonstrating reliability, agility, and integrity in every interaction.

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Carry out access control procedures in accordance with site-specific policies for a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by assisting with entry and exit processes.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, adapting to the unique environment of a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required by site protocols.
• Document and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• New York Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
