DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will play a key role in reviewing completed work unit documentation and materials to ensure they align with Department policies. You will also help manage and coordinate the District's field construction project records, utilizing tools such as the Computer Documentation System (CDS v3), ECMS, and the PennDOT Project Collaboration Center (PPCC) on a PennDOT-issued iPad. Your responsibilities will include conducting technical reviews of material costs for highway and bridge projects, performing thorough audits to confirm the accuracy of documentation and work orders submitted by Project Management, and ensuring that final quantities and costs reported by construction personnel are correct. Additionally, you will assist in inspecting road and bridge construction operations to verify compliance with plans and specifications, complete daily narrative reports using the ECMS project database, and prepare other necessary project status and quality control reports. You will also support the placement and maintenance of work zone traffic control signs and devices in accordance with the Work Zone Traffic Control Plan and relevant publications. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- You will work closely with vendors and work hours may change based on vendor availability.
- Schedule may be subject to change due to seasonal/operational needs
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, on an ad-hoc basis, with managers approval. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; or
- One year of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
