Systems Engineer

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for Level 1 and 2 Systems Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. These positions require a TS/SCI w/FS Poly. We are looking for someone with strong telecommunications and signals analysis background. You will be working with a large team of highly qualified, skilled and motivated professionals, designing, implementing and testing solutions to address challenges in an evolving landscape.

Education Required:

Level 1

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. Five (5) years of System Engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Seven (7) years Systems Engineer experience required.

Level 2

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Fourteen (14) years Systems Engineer experience required.

Additional Experience Required:

• Experience supporting test of developed solutions, pre- and post-deployment, or test to troubleshoot and recreate issues identified in the field.
• Experience working with end-users, to answer questions, support troubleshooting of issues, or train them in the use of the system.
• Experience in data analysis to evaluate performance, identify issues, or support solution recommendations.
• Experience developing and managing requirements.
• Basic Linux skills.
• Working knowledge of modern communications networks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzer.
• Knowledge of and experience with scripting languages to automate installations, analysis, testing and or system monitoring efforts.
• Experience installing, monitoring, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters.
• Knowledge of and experience with scripting languages to automate installations, analysis, testing and or system monitoring efforts Working knowledge of CAFES' (Y142) mission applications and discovery tools and how they support critical missions.

Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/FS Poly

US Salary Range: $164,000 - $215,000

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
