Security Officer - Unarmed - 40 hrs/wk - Midnights - Macomb

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, monitors Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect
persons and property associated with Henry Ford Health against injury or loss. Directs
visitors, patients and employees to appropriate location(s) and intervenes to prevent and
control disturbances. Keeps appropriate persons informed of activities, events and
incidents. Summons appropriate assistance, as necessary.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Must provide excellent customer service when dealing with Patients,
Visitors, Customers, Employees, Co-Workers, etc.
2. Manage Henry Ford Health posts - this may include building lobbies or reception
areas. Must follow site-specific post guidelines (Ex. body worn camera and
intermediate weapon use policies).
3. Monitor surroundings on closed-circuit television.
4. Conduct hourly foot patrol of interior and exterior to check Henry Ford Health
entrances, doors, windows, and vents are locked and secure against breakins (includes climbing stairs).
5. Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
