Capital Electric is looking for an Area Manager to oversee our PNP program. The purpose of the PNP Program is to strengthen our relationships with small-to-medium sized contractors by providing them access to the Capital Electric services that will grow their business. This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively manage and mentor a team of Account Managers, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to succeed. The Area Manager will play a crucial role in driving sales, fostering customer relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and expansion of Capital Electric.

Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 with bonus potential.

Responsibilities:



  • Manager of Account Managers in all areas of capital
  • Attend joint sales calls with Account Managers
  • Keep in touch with PNP Account Managers daily, weekly, monthly. To support their growth in knowledge and skills.
  • Quarterly reviews with Account Manager, Area manager, and counter manager
  • Mentor and train Account Managers on new material and how to navigate calls with customers
  • Teach sales techniques, SSM, Square D rebates, small lighting quotes.
  • Run monthly and yearly sales reports through SSM and PowerBi
  • Work closely with the Area Manager, Area Ops Manager, & Area Counter Manager on expectations, growth, & expansion
  • Work closely with credit on improving relations with small customers
  • Work closely with Vendor reps on Trainings
  • Travel to all areas to see how the Account Managers are progressing
  • Work with marketing on Promos and outreach.
  • Recruiting of Account Managers for all areas. Work with setting up Career fairs with local High Schools
  • Assign or remove accounts based on reviews
  • Plan and support Counter days to help grow business with small accounts.



Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of Management experience
  • 5+ years of counter sales or related experience selling electrical products
  • Passionate about the electrical products industry and electrical distribution
  • Personable and able to talk with customers
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • Self-starter, flexible, and able to independently manage your time
  • Knowledge of Eclipse and Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have an automobile and willing to travel between Area Branches
