What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a Technical Surveillance Specialist to serve as a TEMPEST Coordinator with responsibility to prevent the unauthorized interception of compromising emanations that may be present in information processing communication equipment, systems, and components. The Technical Surveillance Specialist will conduct facility inspections and provide recommendations in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive 705. Responsibilities will entail planning, organizing, and executing TEMPEST services including technical assessments and analysis, interviews, briefings, and research, as well as engaging with Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) organizations and customers to identify, define, and mitigate TEMPEST hazards to the intelligence community. TEMPEST services may be conducted utilizing highly specialized equipment, knowledge, and skills to protect sensitive information and operations. On any given day, you may be called on to manage operational activities of the TEMPEST program at multiple sites to determine continued effectiveness of TEMPEST and plans, which includes but is not limited to:
Due to the nature of the work, this candidate must be to work onsite. Occasional travel may be required. Salary Range: $85,100 - $164,100 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
