*Description*
Lead Technician- 5+ years of Lead or Management experience L3 Technician- 3+ years of dedicated DC Experience Required. Team will be handling troubleshooting of large GPU deployments inside an enterprise DC environment L2 Technician- same as L3 but 2+ years of experience Summary: Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission Run/Label/Stage Power & Networking Cables DBD removal only (does not perform any scanning) Follows procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, standard procedures, and with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads Physical audits of datacenter assets Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Required: Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. Job Responsibilities: * Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance * Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program * Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs * Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports *Skills* Data center, Cable, Cabling, Hardware Need to be prepared to speak to the following: What experience do you have working in a data center? What server configuration experience do you have? (Physical & virtual) What are the basic components of a computer/server? (motherboard, CPU, HDD, RAM, network card, fan, PSU) How would you handle the install of new equipment in a data center? (inventory materials, understand what needs to be installed and the correct way, verify installation is correct, update with results) How would you work on a task you did not know how to solve? (get clarification, search for any internal documentation on processes, ask for help from team/supervisor) Ethernet vs Fiber? (Ethernet is copper cable with lower bandwidth, fiber is light with very high bandwidth) ------ The project will kickoff at PHX62 and will move around the valley from there Address: 1250 N. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008 Team needs to be open to the West & East Valley locations Team make-up 14 techs on A/B-side days (both leads will sit on days - one for each shift) 12 techs on A/B-side nights Available shifts - Heavier need on day shifts o A Side days: Sun-Wed every other Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM o B Side days: Wed-Sat every other Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM o A Side nights: Sun-Wed every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM o B Side nights: Wed-Sat every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
