POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Inventory Operations and Sourcing will oversee and optimize the company's inventory management and sourcing strategies. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and establishing strong supplier relationships with non-core suppliers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in inventory management, procurement, and supply chain operations within the industrial distribution sector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
  • Be advisor to the ICM leadership team on Inventory algorithms and software. Lead projects for inventory software improvement. Become SME for Wurth MSM on all inventory systems.
  • Manages the team that identifies non-core items when requested, helps team to evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions for the company.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with non-core suppliers to ensure reliable supply and quality of products.
  • Utilize data analytics to forecast demand, monitor inventory performance, and make informed decisions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of inventory and sourcing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Continuously assess and improve inventory and sourcing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure all inventory and sourcing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Ensure all imported inventory complies with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, sourcing activities, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • All other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or supply chain operations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaborative, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive and productive working relationships at all organizational levels and vendor community.
  • Strong product and industry knowledge.
  • Business travel required.


Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.
