We're hiring a Senior Program Manager for the Bulgaria Kozloduy Project Team. This position will be responsible for the overall program management of the Kozloduy Units 7 & 8 effort, a brown-field new nuclear project. PgM will be responsible for execution within and in compliance with the established EPMO structure. PgM will interface broadly across function and project organizations. Must be aggressive in change management and scope control measures. Example project disciplines include Engineering, Field Services, Software, Innovation/Product Development, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and Process Improvement. All project management is performed in accordance with the established Westinghouse policies, procedures, systems, and requirements. Project work is managed across multiple continents and several countries. This role can be remote within the United States. No sponsorship is available for this position. Your Day to Day:
- Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
- Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work.
- Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders.
- Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process.
- Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status.
- Maintain project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
- Properly close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools.
- Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future work.
- Identify, assess, and implement improvement opportunities which will add value.
- Interface internally and externally (partners and clients) to facilitate positive project development and execution meeting customer needs and building client/partner relationships
- Communicate to all levels of the organization project, risks, challenges, and mitigation plans as necessary
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree required. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
- Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business.
- 5 years experience required. 15+ years project management experience or 10 years project management experience and 5 years experience in technical role in nuclear or construction industry.
- Familiar with the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge.
- Broad technical knowledge of nuclear power plants. Familiarity with utility business practices including knowledge of utility operations, maintenance and engineering practices, knowledge of procurement processes and material management are desirable but not mandatory. For international projects, knowledge of local business practices and contracting.
- PMI Project Management Professional certification preferred, but not required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, commercial effectiveness, product management, change management and communication skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex issues in a succinct manner, including presentations to upper management
- Clear understanding of the inter-workings of the organization (procedures and processes) and how to navigate and ensure completion of the actions.
- Track record delivering quality products on time and within predictable cost controls.
- Strong analytical thinking capability and business development acumen.
- General knowledge of nuclear industry and related associations.
- AP1000 experience preferred.
- Organizational experience with planning, budgeting, operations and objectives.
- Familiarity with project management software tools (P6, SAP, ARM) and techniques, including Earned Value Management is preferred.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills, ability to interact with customers including upper management representatives.
