The Port of Portland is Hiring for a Talent Acquisition Specialist Who we are: The Port of Portland is a gateway to the globe with our three airports, four marine terminals, and five business parks, the Port of Portland is an economic engine for transforming this region into a place where everyone is welcome, empowered, and connected to the opportunity to find a good job or grow their business. Your Role: Responsible for talent acquisition needs of the Port, this position facilitates the hiring process by meeting with hiring managers, identifying and sourcing talent, coordinating interviews, developing individual recruitment strategies, and managing the offer process with candidates.

Essential Job Duties
-
- Work collaboratively with managers to provide full life-cycle talent acquisition for both represented and non-represented positions, with a focus on professional level positions. Develop recruitment strategy for the positions by understanding staffing needs, assist with talent collateral creation, branding, and social posting for positions, and guide managers through legal interview panels. Serve as a key contact with other HR program areas and staff (Benefits, Compensation, HRIC-Payroll, etc.) to answer candidate questions, develop offers and offer letters. Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to identify and recommend opportunities for improving candidate experience and hiring manager touch points; and assist with the creation and/or revision of and training related to Talent Acquisition processes, policies and procedures.
- Assist with building of a continuous candidate pipeline; create leads through various sourcing methods including but not limited to cold calling, internet searches, job boards, networking, social media, external referrals, employee referrals, career fairs, professional associations/organizations, college alumni associations, applicant tracking system (NeoGov) community partners and diversity sourcing search firms; engage qualified passive talent and assist in developing a pipeline for current and future Port employment opportunities
- Built the Port Candidate Value Proposition by participating in career fairs, professional associations/organizations, and engage with passive talent for future positions.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience required for this role.
- Education: (desired) Bachelor's degree Human Resources, Business or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive professional level experience in talent acquisition working in a recruitment (sourcing) and staffing role.
- Experience: Candidate sourcing experience on multiple platforms including Indeed.com, LinkedIn, CareerBuilder.

Working Conditions We offer a flexible hybrid schedule that combines work-life balance with team collaboration. You'll be in the office Tuesday through Thursday to engage with colleagues and support our business lines, with the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Compensation Our organization adheres to established salary ranges for each position to ensure equitable pay practices. However, final offers are determined based on various factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and considerations of internal pay equity. SELECTION PROCESS (tentative schedule): *A minimum qualification evaluation of education, training, and experience of submitted application packets will take place by Human Resources during the week of 4/28/2025 *A Subject Matter Expert (SME) Panel will perform an evaluation of experience and training taken from your employment application materials including any responses to the supplemental questionnaire. *Our goal is to schedule oral panel interviews with candidates that successfully passed the SME evaluation step as soon as possible.
