About the role

Heavy Equipment Operator - Rotating night shift 5:00pm - 5:00 am

Reworld Waste is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Front End Loader Operator to support daily waste processing operations. This role is responsible for safely operating a front-end loader and other heavy equipment to move, load, and stage materials, ensuring efficient site operations and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a front-end loader to move waste and recyclable materials.

  • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to identify and report maintenance or safety issues.

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, including daily housekeeping duties in assigned zones.

  • Follow operational schedules and instructions from Supervisors and control room operators.

  • Assist with general labor tasks as needed, such as cleaning, staging materials, or supporting other equipment operations.

  • Ensure compliance with site-specific safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.

  • Complete required documentation, such as daily inspection logs and equipment checklists.

  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay compliant with OSHA and company standards.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment (track hoe, skid steer, etc.).

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.

  • Comfortable working in close proximity to heavy machinery, odors, and waste materials.

  • Must be safety-conscious and capable of recognizing hazards in the work environment.

  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with completing paper or electronic logs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred

  • Equipment operator certification, preferred

Physical Demands of the Role:

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator

  • Consistently work in various weather conditions

This position's expected hourly pay rate is $26.00 -$29.00.

This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will take into account various factors, including experience, ability, and location. Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps.
