SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES The Infrastructure Engineer II performs two core functions for the enterprise. The first is the day-to-day operations of the in-place datacenter solutions while the second is the identification, investigation, and design of enhancements to those systems. Secondary tasks may include involvement in the implementation of new solutions, participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as conducting audits and best practices assessments. The Infrastructure Engineer is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise's datacenter goals and to actively work towards upholding those goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary responsibilities include all Data Center Storage, Virtualization (compute and network), physical server infrastructure, Cohesity and other backup solutions, Capacity Planning, and Disaster Recovery functions. Secondary responsibilities include knowledge to support all technology utilized by the Infrastructure Engineering Team. Including but not limited to server operating systems, PowerShell and scripting, file transfer utilities, Group Policy, CIS/NIST compliance. Other responsibilities include environment, policy, procedure, work instruction documentation and upkeep, corporate change management procedure compliance, incident response and resolution, budget planning and forecasting, team participation and leadership. Required: Firm grasp of all advanced aspects of Datacenter Virtualization including VMware ESXi, enterprise storage and fibre channel switching, Cisco UCS B series compute, and overall performance tuning of these technologies. Understanding of protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS), Replication and Disaster recovery ideology. At times act as lead Engineer in infrastructure or related projects
OTHER DUTIES Other duties as assigned. Strategy & Planning:
Participate in the planning and design of enterprise datacenter architecture, under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure Engineering, where appropriate. Participate in the creation of enterprise datacenter documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures) under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure Engineering, where appropriate. Participate in the planning and design of an enterprise Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan, under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure Engineering, where appropriate. Cross training other engineers in the Infrastructure team or other teams as the SME on systems, applications, or various technologies within the department
Acquisition & Deployment:
Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT industry as it relates to the technologies identified as primary responsibilities including awareness of new or revised solutions and improved processes. Recommend additional solutions or enhancements to existing datacenter solutions to improve overall enterprise resiliency, security, and stability. Perform the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new datacenter solutions and of any enhancements to existing datacenter solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise's standards documents specifically.
Operational Management:
Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (i.e., workstations, servers, network devices, etc.). Maintain operational configurations of all in-place datacenter solutions as per the established baselines. Monitor all in-place datacenter solutions for efficient and appropriate operations. Review logs and reports of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., datacenter components) or not (i.e., workstations, servers, network devices, etc.). Interpret the implications of that activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution. Participate in investigations into problematic activity. Participate in the design and execution of best practices assessments, disaster recovery tests and security audits. Provide on-call support for end users for all in-place datacenter solutions. Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a closely related field is preferred. Experience: 6 or more years of Enterprise Datacenter Experience. Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Microsoft, VMware, Cisco. ITIL certifications desired, Good interpersonal skills, good computer skills, ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES
On the job training and any additional training as needed. Required annual compliance training. New Employee Orientation as well as continual update of processes of banking systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able sit for long periods of time. Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is located in a cubicle environment that may be loud throughout the day. Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $70,857.15 - $113,188.24 , actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
