Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.

This position will work the 2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, the Lead Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately transferring product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, move product throughout the facility with powered industrial equipment and perform inventory counts as required. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Responsibilities

* Manages the department in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager

* Assigns responsibilities to team members based on workload and staffing for the day
* Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area
* Unloads and stacks material by using lifting device
* Inventories materials on work floor
* Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device. Must be able to document information as per SOP
* Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
* Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
* Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

* Must be licensed to operate lift equipment (licensing may be through internal or external training)
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
* Military experience a plus

* Experience in guiding and leading a team in the warehouse
* Prior forklift operation experience within a production, packaging or warehousing environment required
* Ability to write simple correspondence
* Basic mathematical skills
* Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
* Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $21.96-$26.83*.Please note that thepayrangeprovidedis a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may varybased on factorsincluding but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
