What you'll do

As a Software Engineer Intern on the DevOps team at Docusign, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with cloud infrastructure and automation tools that support fast and reliable software delivery. Our team focuses on streamlining the development lifecycle by reducing friction from idea to deployment. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment, learning best practices in automation, monitoring, and cloud migration. As part of your internship, you'll contribute to important projects while developing your skills in DevOps tools, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Manager, DevOps Engineering.

Responsibility

  • Support infrastructure and application deployment automation using tools like Kubernetes and Azure, while learning industry-standard DevOps practices

  • Collaborate with engineers to gather requirements and contribute to documenting technical designs and system enhancements

  • Write and improve scripts to automate infrastructure tasks, aiming to simplify system management and increase reliability

  • Contribute to improving system monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes through hands-on experience

  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of infrastructure issues, learning effective troubleshooting strategies

  • Explore ways to optimize and automate existing DevOps processes, bringing a fresh perspective and curiosity to the team


Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript

Preferred

  • Familiarity with data structures and algorithms
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and/or software development principles
  • Exposure to version control systems, especially Git

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $31.00/hour - $38.00/hour
