GENERAL PURPOSE
An Operations Technician 2 is part of our pay for skills program and allows individuals to continue to build skills providing opportunity to increase their compensation. Individuals at Level 2 have accumulated 3-4 skill blocks. Skill blocks may include skills in Assembly, Machine Operation or Material Handling. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Individuals with Machine Operation skills operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move productsmeeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards.
- Maintains and monitors machinery to ensure proper function.
- Performs multiple processes using a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting, dependent upon the department processes.
- Produces a high-quality product delivered in a timely manner to satisfy customers.
- Solves problems with the assistance of otherteam members and seeks continuous improvement.
- The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits toensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
- Required to learn additional functions through cross-training in otherdepartments.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Regular and predictable attendance based on scheduled hours.
- Rotates through the department work stations based on business need.
- Works overtime as needed.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS

- One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience whichdemonstrates performance competency.
Machine Operation Skills and Abilities:
- Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
- Preferred advanced math skills related to ability to operate advanced systems or processes such as GDT (Geometric DimensionalTolerances).
- Ability to use required measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, tape measure, etc.
- Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.
- Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment and influence others.
- Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjustfocus.
- Required to talk and to be able to hear and see with or without correction.
