Network Security Engineer

Evolver Federal is seeking a Network Security Engineer to satisfy a requirement for a potential government client.

Responsibilities:

The Network Security Engineer will perform services related to Fortinet Suite and various government network and cyber security policies and best practices. They will handle network address translation, Internet services, cloud concepts, BlueCoat, Proofpoint, InfoBlox, and Windows operating systems. The engineer will adhere to client policies and procedures, collaborate with components and their representatives, and undertake tasks and special projects necessary for mission accomplishment. They will stay abreast of new and changing technologies, and work with various partners to define and implement Information Security Services strategies, standards, tools, and processes, all while aligning with corporate values. The candidate must be local to the National Capital region.

Basic Qualifications:

• An Active Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Business; or the
• Equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
• 15 years' experience using Fortinet suite (Fortigate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager) as well as managing and maintaining F5 load balancers
• Must be local to the National Capital region to work hybrid/onsite in Washington, DC

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of government network and cyber security policies and best practices
• Proficiency in network address translation, Internet services, and cloud concepts and environments
• Experience with BlueCoat, Proofpoint, and InfoBlox
• Ability to manage tasks and special projects as determined by the government to be necessary for mission accomplishment
• Willingness to stay updated with new and changing technologies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various partners at all levels internally and externally
