The company provides measurement and control solutions to both semiconductor fabs and mask shops to ensure that yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing SensArray business unit is dedicate to support customer R&D phase as well as HVM with in-situ thermal process control. SensArray business unit enable APC (Automated Process Control) to improve process optimization and yield improvement.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications The Product Development Engineer plays a central role throughout the different phases of the product life cycle. This position is part of a team responsible for developing and supporting next generation in-situ semiconductor process monitoring systems as well as supporting and improving current systems. The candidate will participate in the development for next generation products, from materials evaluation and selection, process development, product and process validation, verification, and production implementation. The candidate will also participate in the improvement of manufacturing yield and reliability for existing products. The engineer must be able to carry out the diagnosis of any manufacturing issue, identify root cause, work with a cross-functional team to define solutions for complex problems. Must be able to support the detailed analysis and tradeoffs for the various solutions, assist in carrying out the plan of action. Must be able to effectively work with experts in electrochemical systems, materials, precision packaging, and vacuum systems as required to resolve issues. Additional details regarding responsibilities: * Participate in the development of next generation energy storge device. O Contribute to the new product design, material selection, packaging structure development , and process development. O Contribute to the new product testing by providing input to the prototype test plan and conducting experiments to validate performance of new product. O Implement production of the new products in the manufacturing line O Create documentations for manufacturing transfer of new products * Participate in the manufacturing yield and reliability improvement. O Support quality improvement, including data analysis & documentation. O Participate in team efforts that address quality issues. O Participate in the various troubleshooting activities for existing and new products. * Provide engineering support to the manufacturing. O Identify root cause analysis of manufacturing excursions, including but not limited to failures caused by the thin film deposition processes, packaging processes, and manufacturing tools O Provide engineering support to the manufacturing and quality teams O Identify and implement continuous improvement projects Minimum Qualifications * Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 yearsin STEM field * Background in electronics or mechanicatronics engineering * Familiarity with statistical analysis and statistical tools a must. * Capability to work in fast-paced environment & shifting priorities a must * Capability to derive data driven decision making a must * Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the division, customers, suppliers and across functional teams a must. * Basic scripting capability a strong plus. * Familiarity with electrochemical systems testing a strong plus * Familiarity with 8D methodology a plus * Experience in semiconductor manufacturing a plus Base Pay Range: $114,100.00 - $194,000.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed.
