Position: Portfolio Analyst
Shift: Day shift. In-office presence: 1-2 days per month.

Essential Accountabilities:



  • Oversight of the investment portfolio for the System including obtaining regular reporting on the transactional activity occurring within the investments and their related performance.
  • Assist with the management of relationships with the OCIOS, investment managers, trustees, custodians, etc., in coordination with the Director of Treasury.
  • Oversight of the debt portfolio including maintaining amortization schedules, auditing invoices, and monitoring associates rates for variable rated debt.
  • Reporting and analysis of the pension and 403(b) investment portfolios.
  • Assist with the credit rating agency meeting preparations and data requests.
  • Analyze, confirm, and report on the fees for all debt and investment activity and confirm timely payment.
  • Act as a Treasury liaison for MLH in setting up new investment arrangements, refinancing, bond offerings, etc.
  • Maintain the Treasury System controls in conjunction with the Treasury Analyst and the Sr. Treasury Analyst.
  • Review and initiate electronic transfers in compliance with policies and internal controls.
  • Assist other departments (i.e.,Audit, Accounting, Human Resources, Development) with regular and ad-hoc requests.


Additional Accountabilities:



  • Oversees the timely and accurate resolution of Treasury-related patient or other customer service requests.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to strengthen operational controls and incorporate best practices.
  • Participates in various projects led by or related to Treasury initiatives.
  • Maintains and utilizes a system of internal controls as established by Treasury Policies and Procedures.
  • Keeps Director of Treasury, VP External Reporting and EVP/CFO informed timely of significant treasury developments and issues.


Primary Customers or Key Working Relationships:

Bank Partners, Treasury System Partners, Investment & Debt Managers, Director of Treasury, EVP/CFO, Finance & General Accounting, Foundation Accounting, Accounts Payable and Human Resources.

Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in treasury, cash management, banking (particularly investment) or related roles preferably within healthcare.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration required

Licensures/Certifications:
CTP or CFA preferred for Portfolio focus
