JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: Penn State Schuylkill is seeking a motivated and organized individual to provide part-time administrative support in the Office of Student Affairs. This position plays a key role in supporting student engagement initiatives, managing office operations, and assisting staff with programming, communications, and general office duties. Key Responsibilities: * Provide front-line reception support for the Office of Student Affairs, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries * Assist with the preparation and distribution of student communications, event materials, and promotional content * Support event planning and execution by coordinating logistics, managing attendance lists, and assisting with setup/cleanup as needed * Maintain office filing systems, databases, and supply inventory * Process room reservations, facility requests, and student organization paperwork * Perform data entry and assist in generating reports related to student activities and engagement * Provide administrative support to Student Affairs staff, including Athletics, Residence Life, Student Conduct, Student Activities, and Health & Wellness * Other duties as assigned to support the goals and operations of the department Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or prior office experience preferred * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn university systems * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, student-centered environment * Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism Preferred Attributes: * Experience working in a higher education or student affairs setting * Familiarity with Penn State policies, systems, and student life resources The Pennsylvania State University is committed to and be accountable for advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability in all its forms.
