Responsibilities Provide support and coordination of site environmental, health, safety, and security regulatory requirements. Provide support and coordination to ensure site compliance with all EPA, OSHA, and DHS rules, regulations, and training requirements. Support a positive safety culture on site, utilize SafeStart techniques to help resolve near misses. Has a positive attitude and acts as a safety role model on site. This individual will coach peers to identify safety hazards and own their solutions from start to finish. Aid in gathering data and completing regulatory EHSS reporting requirements for local, state, and federal agencies. Work with vendors to complete safety and environmental related activities. Coordinate, schedule, and conduct training on selected EHSS topics i.e new hire onboarding, annual training and as needed other training requirements . Tracks EHSS training for employees, as well schedules and conduct makeup training for those delinquent. Conduct EHS audits of designated plant departments to identify unsafe conditions and environmental hazards. Conducts weekly documented inspections of site safety equipment, hazardous waste accumulation area, and other facilities and equipment to identify unsafe conditions and environmental hazards for improvement. Reviews completed Life Critical Permits (Safe Work, LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, & Confined Space Entry) and coach writer on deficiencies/areas of improvement. Flexible with their hours to support off shifts when needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Job related experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field or relevant nationally recognized certification program (i.e. Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), NSC Advanced Safety Certificate (ASC), etc.) is preferred. 1-3 years of related environmental, health, & safety work experience in a manufacturing and/or construction environment. Relevant experience with EPA, OSHA, & DHS regulations. Ability to identify areas for safety improvements in operational processes. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good organizational and record keeping skills. Proficient using company software and MS Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook). HS Diploma or GED Required Physical effort and dexterity: Ability to lift 50 pounds Environment Factors and exposure throughout shift: Required to use respirator and proper PPE (eye protection, safety shoes, hearing and head) Compensation Philosophy At Benjamin Moore, our brand represents excellence, and we strive to provide a comprehensive total rewards package to match.
