Peraton is seeking an innovative SRE3/Splunk Administrator to play a key role in a mission that makes a real difference within our Cyber Mission Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. You'll have the opportunity to enhance and support a critical Splunk infrastructure, driving excellence in enterprise-level cybersecurity.

What You'll Be Doing:

    Own Splunk Enterprise Security: Be at the heart of maintaining and fortifying the security operations using Splunk, ensuring our systems are always optimized.

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Apply necessary upgrades and patches to keep our systems at peak performance, staying one step ahead in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.

  • Collaborate and Innovate: Troubleshoot and resolve complex log issues while working alongside a talented team of government and contractor professionals. Communication and collaboration will be key as you drive solutions in a dynamic enterprise environment.

  • Master Splunk Deployments: Take charge of both the operating system and application administration of Splunk, ensuring smooth, seamless deployments and management.

  • Reimagine Infrastructure: Lead the way in building and deploying a new Splunk instance that enhances and modernizes our existing systems, making them more powerful and efficient than ever.

  • Analyze, Design, and Develop: Dive deep into requirements analysis, design robust Splunk architectures, and craft efficient data ingest and modeling strategies to shape the future of our systems.

  • Create Impactful Dashboards and Solutions: Design visually stunning dashboards and develop solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or other relevant technical field (an additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in place of the degree).
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in system engineering/architecture.
  • Ten (10) years of experience working with products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Hadoop, Acumulo, Big Table, Cassandra, Scality et cetera.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation.
  • At least four (4) years of experience managing and monitoring large Cloud Systems
  • Experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complete hardware/software Splunk systems to include monitoring technical health of a system, improving organizational processes, implementation of postmortem (failure) analysis and incident management.
  • One of the following certifications required: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator-Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer, or Elastic Certified Observability Engineer.

Target Salary Range

$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
