StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer. With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we're doubling our footprint at AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs, and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cells.

As an Avionics Installer at StandardAero Augusta, you will be responsible for installing, aligning, and wiring electrical and electronic components on aircraft. This includes instrumentation, navigation, sensors, radios, antennas, flight controls, pitot systems, and lighting. You will use your expertise and craftsmanship to determine the best methods and locations for installing/removing equipment, fabricating wiring harnesses, and performing continuity checks. You will set the standard in quality by ensuring all installations meet industry standards and adhere to various regulations and diagrams provided by manufacturers and engineering teams.



  • Install, align, and wire electrical and electronic components such as instruments, sensors, radio communications, antennas, J-boxes, lights, and more.
  • Determine the best location, method for installing/removing electronic equipment and systems by applying best-practices and adhering to manuals from Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, various mod centers (STC's), and OEM manufacturers' wiring diagrams.
  • Fabricate wiring harnesses, solders connector plugs, strips and hand lugs wiring
  • Identify wiring and install surface control indicating systems, performs terminal splicing, wires junction boxes, routes wiring and conduit, as well as performing any other electrical bench or installation work as necessary to complete the electrical repair or modification of the aircraft.
  • Perform continuity checks and may assist in the functional check-out of complete aircraft systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, locating, and correcting wiring difficulties, partnering with A&P Mechanics, Structural Technicians, Inspectors, and Electricians
  • Adhere to shop standards, various manufacturers' standards and practices and has knowledge of various federal and military standards including FAA Advisory Circulars.


Basic Qualifications



  • Minimum of 3 years of Avionics Installation experience on fixed-wing aircraft
  • Must have verifiable experience adhering to electrical and electronic theories, and wiring diagrams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must we authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • FCC license
  • Valid FAA A&P license
  • Have extensive knowledge of power sources and bonding and grounding techniques
  • Corporate / Business Aviation installation experience
  • Experience working on Falcon, Challenger, Hawker, Embraer and/or Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Experience installing StarLink, GoGo, Rockwell Collins, SmartSky or Honeywell products.
