Responsibilities

As our Director of Facilities, you'll wear many hats (and we mean many!):

  • Lead the Charge: Guide our amazing facilities management team to deliver top-notch maintenance services while hitting all our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Policy Pioneer: Develop and implement policies that keep our facilities compliant and safe, all while making sure we're following the rules set by the Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies.
  • Budget Boss: Prepare and manage our annual facilities budget, ensuring every dollar is spent wisely and effectively.
  • Emergency Hero: Keep our Emergency Procedures Manual up to date and lead our preparedness plans for all kinds of situations-fires, natural disasters, and more!
  • Contract Connoisseur: Oversee competitive bidding processes and negotiate contracts that ensure our properties are in tip-top shape.
  • Security Sentinel: Keep an eye on security operations and ensure our facilities are safe and sound.
  • Life Safety Champion: Maintain our life safety program and conduct regular inspections to keep everyone safe.
  • Utility Guru: Oversee the maintenance of essential utilities and get hands-on when repairs are needed.
  • First Responder: Be our go-to person in emergencies, ready to jump into action with your Newport Healthcare-issued cell phone at the ready!

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of facilities maintenance management experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security management experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting, or law enforcement.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Certified Facilities Manager preferred.
  • Subject Matter Expert knowledge of OSHA, Joint Commission, and State and Federal regulations regarding facility maintenance.
  • Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Calendaring, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
