Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Geologist to join our team in our Newark, Delaware office, where you will play a key role in supporting a variety of challenging and impactful environmental projects.


Responsibilities

  • Planning and preparing for field work.
  • Oversight of drilling and monitoring well installation.
  • Soil/bedrock logging.
  • Well development.
  • Site investigations and various types of sampling of all media.
  • Construction oversight and management of subcontractors.
  • Technical writing for planning documents and reports, including soil boring logs, geological cross-sections, and hydrogeologic interpretation.
  • Hydrogeologic and chemical data management and evaluation.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
  • CERCLA RI/FS Field and Reporting experience.
  • A diverse background in environmental consulting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of geology software is a plus.
  • Experience in monitoring well installation, soil borings, and groundwater sampling.
  • Ability to supervise subcontractors (drillers or site work) and lead field sampling teams.
  • Capability to assist in preparing planning documents and summary reports for site investigations.


Desired Qualifications

EPA, State, and Federal DOD experience is strongly preferred.

Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.


Drug Screen Statement

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen.

Pay Range

$65,000 - $75,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
