Network Validation Engineer

Supermicro is seeking for a Network Validation Engineer who is experienced in working with networking products like InfiniBand and Ethernet and who enjoys working with engineering, product management, and technical staff to develop debugging tools, test plans, and automation plans.

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

* Perform switch, ethernet cards, infiniband switch and HBAs validations.

* Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing

* Report hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems

* Document and analyze test data

* Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions

* Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation

* Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution

* BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 1+ years of working knowledge in hardware/networking field is strongly desirable

* CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications a plus.

* Strong knowledge of computer networking, TCP/IP, L2/L3, SDN, OPA, InfiniBand, etc.

* Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking

* Strong in python, and bash scripting

* Power shell scripting is a plus

* Strong sense of team work and a good team player, strong communication skills

* Knowledge and experience of server performance benchmarks and tuning is a plus

$89,000- $131,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
