Responsibilities

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in an innovative GEOINT Program Office? What if you could find a position that is tailor made for your mix of broad systems engineering skills, technical expertise, and communication skills? That's why we need you, an experienced Systems Engineer, to help us ensure success for a major follow on GEOINT system. The candidate will support the system engineering efforts for the customer program office. The candidate will engage directly with the customer and respond to direct tasking. The selected candidate will apply technical expertise to provide innovate solutions to complex technical problems. Candidate will be responsible to coordinate across various customers organizations ranging from systems engineering, ground, operations and mission partner. You will perform functions for end-to-end systems engineering:

  • Develop Mission Threads and CONOPS to support a Capability Driven Program
  • Translate emerging customer needs into System and Segment Level requirements
  • Understand system-to-system interfaces and act as an Integrator
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
  • Identify and tracking of risks, issues and opportunities
  • Support Agile test execution, verification (VV&T) activities, and Characterization of Program Capabilities
  • Flexible to deal with changing priorities and Adhoc tasks from the government customers

Qualifications

What we need from you (Required):

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 12-15 years experience: MS 10-13 Years or PhD 10+ years
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a Poly
  • 12+ years working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas
  • Knowledge of GEOINT systems
  • Strong customer management skills
  • Experience with Systems Engineering requirements, architecture, and verification/validation (V&V) processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and quickly transition across multiple tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise recommendations within deliverables to the customers
  • Proven organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with other contractor organizations and government personnel at all levels
  • Demonstrated success with working in a small team environment
  • Commitment to recognize, understand, respect, and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority
  • Experience with and strong understanding of agile development within the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Self-starter who requires little supervision

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Space and Ground platforms
  • Experience with Enterprise integration and test
  • Familiar with Agile software development methodology and tools like Confluence and Jira
  • Knowledge of Program Readiness Milestones and execution of Program Reviews
  • Systems Engineering experience on large complex systems
  • Project management and acquisition management
