Overview

You will be joining the Accounting TD Professional Services team within Deutsche Bank's Global Technology, Data, and Innovation (TDI) group. Our domain is owning the products that are responsible for PnL Reporting and Transaction Accounting. We are working to on board new businesses and migrate existing businesses to strategic Finance Architecture and create simplified, reusable, consumable applications, data, and infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications

  • Java/Java EE application development in an Agile Collaborative environment while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to development and testing

  • Analyze and evaluate the Business requirements (collect, interpret, and map the requirements of the customer to the capabilities of the product)in addition to design, develop and document microservice & legacy technologies systems in accordance with requirements specification

  • Guide teams, write clear, maintainable, and reusable code and take part in code reviews to ensure that features are developed at high quality standards while co-working on test automation of new and existing functionality

  • Collaborate with Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Finance, Application Operations, Product Owner and Engineers, to successfully deliver the Business outcomes

  • Partner with the User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) design team, architects, business analysts and stakeholders situated in multiple regions and time-zones to understand requirements, designing, developing, and delivering applications for mission-critical systems, and when product and architecture experience gained, mentor and direct more junior developers

Skills You'll Need

  • Moderate experience with software development with experience with Java, Python, Spring-boot, PostgreSQL, Big Query concepts, designing and implementing distributed enterprise applications with Microservices, with the design and implementation of API's - Rest Services, Open application programming interface (API's), Unix Shell scripting & Windows platforms

  • Understanding of design concepts and should possess strong knowledge on Domain Driven Design

  • Knowledge in container runtime environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift), as well as in designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications using Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) practice

  • Familiarity writing Structured Query Language (SQL), optimizing, and simplifying existing queries

  • Experience in messaging technologies. Having knowledge in any of these: Kafka, Pub/ Sub, MQ; would be an added advantage and experience with modern software development life cycle (SDLC) tools - Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, OpenShift - is a plus

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Good communication skills, while being a self-starter and a go getter

  • Proven ability to perform L3 level support as the developed component moves to the production with a structured approach to problem solving and strong analytical skills Experience in design thinking, building serverless solutions, stateless functions would be a huge plus point

  • Strong MS-Office skills and experience with modern SDLC tools - JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence - is a plus

  • Champion engineering best practices to achieve high performance and share your expertise across the team with curiosity and the ability to think outside the bounds of what is currently possible

  • Demonstrate ownership, inspire others, innovative thinking, growth mindset and collaborate for success, while staying current on technical trends to suggest innovative tools and approaches to interesting problems

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
