Oliver Equipment Company is a leading specialty industrial supplier of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, mixers and related products and a provider of technical solutions to the energy and industrial sectors. Privately held company located Houston, Texas.

The Vice President - Service is responsible for managing and directing the aspects of service, including repair and field service business while managing those employees that perform repair quotes, repairs and field service.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • Managing and overseeing all three (3) OEC Service Shops (Houston, Corpus Christi, and Nederland)

  • Managing and overseeing all Mechanics

  • Managing and overseeing all Service Coordinators

  • Oversee repair and conversion jobs in the shop

  • Generate inspection and failure analysis reports for job in shop and field

  • Provide technical support to Service Center, Sales team, Parts, and customers

  • Troubleshooting, failure analysis, commissioning, and start-up assistance for customers

  • Training for customers and OEC shop and field personnel

  • Service coordinator on call after normal business hours

  • Oversee Safety, Quality and work procedures in the Shop

  • Lead role in documenting Service Center employee performance, counseling, and corrective action

  • Set-Up and maintain the Service folder on the OEC network

A must...

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; five years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have the ability to operate a multiline telephone system including voice mail, email and texting.

  • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.

  • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.

  • Knowledge of: Accounting Software; Database Software; Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Inventory Software; Order Processing Systems; Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint).

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
