Chemistry Lab Analyst

Pay: $24/hr. to $26/hr.

Schedule: Daytime job, working 8 hours Monday through Friday

Lab Analyst job details:

• Be responsible for the receiving of plant samples, performance of laboratory tests, and the reporting of lab data.
• Performance of routine procedures, test methods, and activities on samples and materials that support unit processes and product movement.
• Other job duties include routine maintenance, quality assurance/quality control activities, and other non-testing activities as needed.

Key job responsibilities:

• Perform routine testing and analytical data entry. Instrumental analyses include the following types of equipment: gas chromatography, FTIR, TOC, Titrator, pH meter and others.
• The job duties also include routine instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with LIMS databases, Chromatography Data Systems and SQC methods is a plus.
• Basic computer skills (software applications: Word, Excel, etc.) are required.

Requirements:

• Two-year Lab technical college degree
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Team player and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to lift 35lbs and act in accordance with established safety guidelines and processes

Preferred:

• Analytical Chemistry college degree
• Two years of chemical laboratory experience
