Description
We are seeking a Quality Inspector. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of inspection activities. Someone able to detect and be part of the resolution of problems. Ensures that the product integrity and quality standards are being met. Monitors, supports and helps improve the Quality Management System (QMS). Helps to create and maintain a positive and effective quality mind set atmosphere. Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Responsible ensuring Final Inspection process is done on all parts that are required.
- Responsible ensuring Incoming Inspection process is done on all parts that are required.
- Monitoring and helping to improve quality on the production floor.
- Handle In-process Inspection on production lines or product cells.
- Ensure Quality protocol/standards are being met on the production floor.
- Monitoring and improving Supplier quality.
- Responsible in handling Supplier non-conforming products.
- Ensure the completion the VNCR (Vendor Nonconformance Report) process.
- Able to do internal audits.
- Create internal corrective actions and ensure the validation of corrective & preventive action was effective.
- Help coordinate with Production ensuring Material Review Board (MRB) process is being completed.
- Help improve on work instructions when products are being made.
- Participate in improving our QMS documentations.
- Help in creating, improving, and maintaining documentation for the Quality Department.
- Understand customer expectation and requirements and help implement.
- Responsible ensuring that all special customer requirements are meet on their order.
- Participate on handling customer complaints and the resolution of them.
- Continuously responsible for working and leading in a collaborative manner and promoting cross-functional teamwork and business efficiency while maintaining superior levels of customer service.
- Help ensure that all our employees going home safely at the end of their working day.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Quality Manager.
- Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
- Operates hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light.
- Ability to lift up to 49 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day.
- All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in an ERP/MRP systems for tracking production and inventory.
- Computer literacy -knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, D365, SAP any other quality management software.
- Knowledge of metric measurements.
- Able to read and write in English, following basis instructions.
- Able to work well with hands.
- Ability to work well and self-discipline under limited supervision.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in quality assurance job functions at a manufacturing site.
Education Requirements:
- Associate's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Certificate in quality assurance is a plus.
