POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Controller, analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and other financial activities within an organization. Maintain accounting systems that ensure the proper accounting and recording of company resources; provides financial statements, analysis, and other key management reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end consolidation for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
  • Prepare and provide support for footnote schedules, and statement of equity
  • Review and approve journal entries on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Administer preparation of monthly financial reporting and performs analysis
  • Prepare required governmental reports and responds to inquiries
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with company policy, JTR, FAR and CAS regulations and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Provide financial statement analytics
  • Recommend and implement internal company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate year end audit review for external audit staff
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting and financial operations experience including a minimum of 2 years of progressive supervisory and management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Deltek Costpoint and T&E
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP, FAR and CAS
  • Experience with Microsoft suite, proficiency in Excel is essential
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, motivated and able to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to recognize and solve business problems by applying appropriate use of logic to quickly isolate the trends or problems
  • Must have high level interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization; develops key relationships with counterparts across the Company; position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Self-directed and highly-motivated, with the decisiveness and flexibility necessary to operate successfully in a changing, rapid-growth, hands-on environment
  • CPA required

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
