Corporate Lab Intern

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Intern to work out of our Hanover, PA office. Join us this summer for an opportunity to work with our QA team on various tasks and projects. Gain valuable experience while networking with associates throughout the organization. Applicants must have effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, analytical skills and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Analytical Testing:




• Perform analytical testing on finished good and raw materials to ensure quality meets established standards.
• Assist with preparing samples for proficient testing, new equipment qualification and third party analysis.
• Participate in creating benchtop samples to validate specifications.




• Organization & Documentation:




• Manage and organize all incoming samples, lab equipment and consumables.
• Maintain daily records of equipment verification and lab cleaning.
• Maintain accurate records of analytical results.




• Data Analysis:




• Assist with entering analytical data into systems for further analysis.
• Identify testing discrepancies and analytical equipment drift.




• Cross-Functional Collaboration:




• Work closely with production, R&D and other departments to address quality concerns.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate quality updates and improvements.

Job Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a Science related field.
• Familiarity with lab testing.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
