Posted Date: Feb 5 2025 Senior Director Product and Portfolio Strategy As a Senior Director, Global Product and Portfolio Strategy, you will play a strategic role and be a key member of the Global Vaccines Commercial and Portfolio Strategy Team. This position reports to the Vice President Commercial and Portfolio Strategy within the broader Vaccines Global Product Strategy organization. Location is to be at one of the major GSK sites; Wavre, London, Philadelphia or Boston, with some flexibility in Europe or East Coast US on locations for the right candidate. In this role, you need to bring exceptional strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to synthesize complex and diverse information to craft clear, actionable strategic imperative that will drive long-term value for the Vaccines portfolio. You will use your expertise with business-strategy development, business case generation, asset valuation and associated analytics and intelligence methodologies to ensure that we are designing and executing optimal commercial strategies for our products to add value to our portfolio. You will synthesize large amounts of data from multiple domains and translate this into a cogent analysis that leads to recommendations that will shape the future of our Vaccines business. Spanning science, medical practice, competitive intelligence, strategy, marketing, corporate finance and early-stage investment, you will be responsible for using business cases to ensure alignment between key strategic levers e.g. the target vaccine profile (TVP), key claims, clinical development plans (CDP) and major internal and external risks, opportunities and uncertainties for our portfolio and target external assets. In the role you will influence portfolio strategy development, proposing investments, both internal and external. You will be a key member of the teams that are responsible for product and strategy development, for championing investment projects and presenting the associated investment proposals at the Vaccines Research Unit Board, the Financial Review Committee (FRC) Pharma Investment Board (PIB). From an asset perspective, you will be accountable for asset and disease area strategy business cases of new assets, ensuring that the business cases and investment strategies accurately, transparently and fully reflect internal and external data, assumptions, ambiguities, risks and opportunities. You need to be fluent in the science behind the diseases and asserts, as well as having working knowledge of the development pathways to enable discussion and debate with relevant business partners, and to establish relationships with global key external experts and academic/community centers.
