We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Plant Engineer for our client. Overall tasks include leading engineering projects, enhancing plant operations, and implementing process improvements within our client's manufacturing facility. This role will require effective collaboration with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.

What You Need to Succeed:



  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA safety regulations (SQF, FDA) and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Microsoft Project) and engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions to drive process improvements.



Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution



  • Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and schedules in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while troubleshooting technical challenges to ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, SQF, EPA, and other regulatory standards.



Plant Operations & Process Optimization



  • Analyze and enhance plant efficiency, safety protocols, and product quality.
  • Work closely with production teams to optimize workflows and minimize downtime.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.



Compliance & Quality Assurance



  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with FDA regulations, environmental standards, and worker safety protocols.
  • Perform risk assessments and safety audits to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, including work instructions, machine operation guides, and training materials.



Technical Support & Innovation



  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting production equipment and processes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that can enhance plant operations.
