Product Manager
Responsible for the customer experience and product integration/execution for the business unit. This position will lead the development and implementation of strategy to ensure a positive customer experience is delivered and that we remain competitive in the market. This includes management of product enhancements, pricing, profitability and risk.
Position Responsibilities:
Roadmap Management
- Develop and implement product strategy.
- Serve as a market expert for business unit through research (internal and external), discovery, validations and customer interactions.
- Maintain an understanding of the competition and SWOT.
- Identify product opportunities through strategic planning, including product roadmap development and positioning assessment.
Product Promotion/Advocacy
- Create and own product's market message.
- Participate in development of go-to-market materials.
- Develop internal training materials and conduct training as necessary.
- Conduct customer, non-customer and prospective customer interviews to gather user persona intelligence.
- Monitor trends and customer adoption.
- Monitor product life cycle and recommend marketing/pricing strategies to enhance customer retention and acquisition.
Portfolio and Revenue Management
- Ensure profitability, competitive positioning and integration.
- Develop and recommend pricing strategies that will result in meeting product objectives, improve profitability and/or reduce expense.
Product Initiatives
- Investigate market opportunities and effect of product on the market.
- Develop recommendations for products and/or product enhancements based on a thorough understanding of user personas and use case scenarios.
- Represent voice of customer throughout the product development process.
- Partner with Technology and Operations area(s) to ensure appropriate product stability, ensure an efficient escalation and resolution protocol is in place for production (system/operational) issues and outages, for continuous improvement of production (system/operational) processes and to evaluate/review customer feedback.
- Define, measure and manage product risk
Vendor Management
- Participate in the contract negotiation process.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with strategic vendors.
- Monitor Service Level Agreement performance.
Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams for key initiatives related to product to ensure successful and timely completion.
Personal Knowledge
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organization and analytical skills.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 years of banking/financial services experience; Treasury Management experience a plus
- 5 years of Product Management experience
- Knowledge of NACHA rules; AAP certification a plus
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
